Biography

Globally, there are more than 30 million individuals living with HIV/AIDS, a number that is growing by approximately 3 million each year. The overarching goal of my laboratory is to contribute meaningfully to the global response to HIV. My laboratory studies the interplay of cellular immune responses, viral genetics, and host genomics in HIV pathogenesis, with an ultimate aim towards identifying protective immune responses that should be elicited in a prophylactic or therapeutic vaccine.
