Viruses, Host Response
My laboratory brings together virology, immunology and evolutionary biology to understand how RNA viruses like influenza, HIV, and Zika cross species barriers, evade immune detection, and cause disease. We perform studies both in humans and in animal models. Through our work, we hope to contribute meaningfully to the public health response to emerging and re-emerging viral pathogens.
